We will be discussing fabric choices, how to cut fabric and lay out patterns, basic sewing stitches such as running, back stitch, and whip stitches, as well as how to do a button hole and eyelet. I.33: Fencing in the 14th CenturyWarder Philipp Reimer von Wolfenbüttel This class will cover the fundamentals of sword and buckler fencing in the style of the Ms. I.33 or the "Walpurgis Fechtbuch." Written c. 1310, I.33 is the oldest extant codified fencing manual and provides a number of fascinating insights about the use of arming swords in unarmored civilian combat.
