11:00 amBrendoken Boar Hunt
Your hunting party has chased some boars into a box canyon. There is only one way in or out. The boars are trapped and the only way out is through the hunters.
Everyone will be divided into 2 man teams. Each team will be scored as a set. The teams will spend 2 rounds as hunters and one round as boars.
Boars will be armed either sword and shield or two stick, boar's choice. Boars can take up to 3 hits before being declared dead. Limbs count as 1 hit but are not acted out (i.e. hit on the arm, arm is still usable). The goal of the boars is to get out without being hit.
Hunting parties have two roles. One person is a dog and one is a hunter. Hunters will use 6 foot spears, dogs will use sword/shield. Dog shields are restricted to 24" max in any direction. Dogs and hunters act out all blows as normal.
Each round will consist of 2 boars trying to escape from 2 hunters and 2 dogs.
Scoring
Boar escapes untouched - 3 points to boar's team Boar is injured - boar loses 1 point per injury Boar dies - no points Hunter/ dog injures a boar - hunter's team gains 1 point per injury Boar kills hunter/ dog - boar's team gains 1 point per kill. The winning team will receive a pair of boar tusk necklaces...... And maybe some bacon.
2:00 pm Switch weapons tourney
Standard double elimination format. Fighters must switch to a new weapon form between fights until they have gone through their entire authorization card before redoing one. Exceptions possible at marshal's discretion.

Combatants will have to fight from within their 'hole'. Any weapon style accepted. Body parts outside the hole will be lost and the first fighter to be forced from their hole will lose.

2:00 pm The Lion and the Unicorn C&T Tourney
Show your versatility in this appropriately themed C&T tournament, where semi-matched combat will favor the most well-rounded fencers.
The tourney will be actively marshaled and take a three-pass, double round-robin format. All blows will be scored as follows: 6 points head or body 3 points for a limb 2 points for the first blow if there's an after-blow 1 point for the after-blow 0 points for doubles OR if the blow was met by an after-blow to the head or body In each set, the challenger will determine the weapon selection and whether or not secondary weapons or objects are permitted. Possible weapon selections include: 1. Short single-handed swords (blades under or equal to 36") 2. Long single-handed swords (blades over 36") 3. Two-handed swords Since it's a double round robin, everyone will challenge everyone else.
